Student answer (Band 5.0)

In different countriIes, individuals do not recycle their rubbish as much as they could. I believe that, people should protect environment together and makes new plan for their's life.

On the one hand, individuals should change of own life because I think recycle rubbish can open environment better. Firstly, doing recycle can makes renewable, people can living clean air, helping people avoid sick which if people do not recycle, people have to live with pollution. Secondly, individuals become strong health, the Earth say no with die and it not causing air polltion. Besides that, recycling their rubbish is several benifits, it helps people cut down on money in their life. People can using money to many career, study, buy news things that indiviuals cannot spend much on materials. To sum up, I believe that, individuals must recycle own rubbish.

On the other hand, we can change of life as using behavior. First of all, people must pick up individuals's rubbish, dropping down bins, sort and recycle rubbish. Second, government should open several competitive about awareness sense of community. Establishing provide knowledge in many shools to students. In severall companies, employer focus on encourage employee about recycle rubbish and protect environment. For example, in 2020, Covid-19 happened when people lived in theis house much, their rubbish over way and individuals decided to renewable their's rubbish and used new made things. So, people in area have awareness about environment is very well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You attempt to address both questions by discussing reasons for recycling and suggesting actions by individuals, schools, companies, and government. However, the response does not clearly explain why people currently fail to recycle, which is a central part of the task. Most of the first body paragraph describes benefits of recycling—such as cleaner air and saving money—rather than causes of low recycling rates. The proposed measures are relevant but often unclear or insufficiently explained, and the Covid-19 example does not convincingly show how recycling could be increased. Your position in favour of recycling is apparent, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. Focus each body paragraph directly on one question and support each point with a clear explanation or relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Firstly,” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the first body paragraph discusses the benefits of recycling, while the task asks why people do not recycle, and the connection between some sentences is difficult to follow. Linking phrases are sometimes mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are listed rather than developed in a logical sequence. For example, the suggestions about bins, schools, and companies need clearer links to how they would change people’s behaviour. Use topic sentences that directly answer each part of the question, then explain and connect the supporting points.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “pollution,” “government,” and “awareness,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors sometimes strain understanding. Examples include “doing recycle,” “open environment better,” “competitive about awareness sense,” and “renewable their rubbish”; these expressions do not communicate your intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “polltion,” “benifits,” and “shools” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of phrases for causes and solutions, and check whether each word fits its grammatical and contextual use. Repeating “people” and “rubbish” less often would also improve variety.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If individuals cannot…” and clauses introduced by “because” and “when.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to form complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “people should…makes,” “doing recycle can makes,” and “people can living.” Articles, possessives, and sentence construction are also frequently inaccurate, as in “protect environment,” “their’s life,” and “the Earth say no with die.” These problems sometimes make the intended relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time; check subject–verb agreement and verb forms during revision.
