Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the current era, the trend to recycle rubbish is being followed in many parts of the globe. Although, there is a group of certain people around the world, who are not in the favor to follow this practice. The essay highlights the consequences of both the views.
It is widely believed that it's a wise decision to recycle the rubbish and convert it into new products. But, there exist a group of individuals who don't want to handover their rubish to anyone. They firmly believe that giving their belongings to someone which they once used, will affect them in certain ways. Some people presume that it might be used for some spritual activities like black magic. Others think to keep some part of it, as they might need to use it in future. This restrict them from fully recycling their rubbish. I know about someone who used to keep their rubbish, as they find it hectic to take the rubbish to their collection stations. The fact leads to the resons while many people in different countries still don't recycle their rubbish.
In addition to this, the govenment officials are the ones who plays a crucial role in providing services to manage the trash. For example, the initiatives should begin to promote the recycling of rubbish. Promotoions should also be offered in contributing to the initiatives which will motivate the community to participate in them. In the outcome, it will help the society to grow by ultilizing the wasted material. I heard a scenario from a friend, in her country offers a service where they can call the company to collect the rubbish from their home. The service is convenient and facilitate them to handover the rubbish from their home.
In conclusion to this, people hold different perspectives, which we don't have right to judge. As a part of the society, we should try to take little steps, which helps us to contribute in the success of the society by recycling our rubbish.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by suggesting reasons for low recycling—concerns about spiritual misuse, keeping items for later, and the inconvenience of travelling to collection points—and proposing government initiatives and home collection. These are relevant ideas, and the example of a collection service helps illustrate a possible solution. However, the response does not consistently develop the task: the opening says the essay will discuss the “consequences of both the views,” although the prompt asks for causes and solutions, and the conclusion shifts to a general appeal rather than summarising the proposed changes. Some reasons, especially the concern about black magic, are asserted without explaining how widespread or influential they are. State your focus accurately and explain each main point more fully, including how a solution would address a specific barrier.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate reasons from solutions. Linking phrases such as “In addition to this” and “For example” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is not always clear: the first paragraph moves from beliefs about used belongings to a personal example about the effort of travelling to a collection station, without clearly connecting these as distinct causes. Some transitions are mechanical or imprecise, including “In the outcome,” while “In conclusion to this” is an awkward lead-in. References such as “them” in “participate in them” are not fully clear. Organise each paragraph around one central point and use more precise links and references to show how examples support it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “recycle,” “collection stations,” “initiatives,” and “convenient,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “utilizing the wasted material.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “in the favor to follow this practice,” “handover their rubbish,” and “promotions should also be offered in contributing” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “rubish,” “spritual,” “resons,” “govenment,” and “Promotoions” are also noticeable. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully; prefer direct, natural wording over formal-sounding phrases that do not fit the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which they once used” and a conditional idea about keeping items for future use. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “This restrict them” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “the government officials are the ones who plays” also has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “I heard a scenario from a friend, in her country offers a service” is structurally incomplete, while “This restrict them from fully recycling” lacks a clear grammatical link to the preceding ideas. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise checking each clause for a clear subject and verb, and use shorter sentences when a complex structure becomes difficult to control.
