Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, recycled the waste material is a very controversial topic, therefore it is widely acknowldeged that in many nations residents did not recycled their rubbish as much as they could be do. In this essay, first i will discuss the reason behind this and then deduce what government and people can do to tackle this issue.
There are several reasons for behind this phenomena. First and foremost reason for this, is a lack of education among people about the importance of spick and span atomsphere. They just throw their rubbish in only one place and did not recycle those thinks which they can. Moreover, in many public places and tourists spot have not enough dustbins and proper recycle process system. As a result, people take this things as a granted and throw their waste material anywhere.
For tackling this issue government and people can collectively give their contribution. To commence with, if people start recycle things at their house such as for recycling things they can collect that rubbish in different way instead of just mixed with other waste items. They can also teach their children as parents is the first teacher for their child. In addition, government can introduce more dustbins in hustle and bustle areas and also for public awareness they can run campagins which can significantly spread awareness among public. Even, higher authorities should also mandatory the eco- frinedly subject in school syllabus. Thus these measures by government and public can alleviate this issue.
In conclusion, as evident from the above discussion that althought the major reason for this that people cannot do recycle rubbish because of the lack of knowledge regarding this criteria. But i believe that if government and pulbic work collectively so they can easily overcome this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify limited public knowledge and inadequate recycling facilities as reasons, then suggest household sorting, public campaigns, more bins and school education. Your position—that government and the public should act together—is clear. These ideas are relevant, but some are less fully explained than others. For example, you mention that people lack education but do not explain what they misunderstand or how this leads to low recycling; similarly, the benefits and practical impact of school lessons are asserted rather than developed. Add a specific example, such as how confusing collection rules discourage sorting, and explain how a proposed measure would change behaviour. This would make the response more fully developed while retaining its clear focus.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. The sequence is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “In addition” and “In conclusion” help show how points relate. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, several transitions feel formulaic, and connections within sentences are occasionally unclear—for instance, “For tackling this issue government and people can collectively give their contribution” does not smoothly introduce the specific actions that follow. The conclusion also repeats the central point rather than synthesising the proposed solutions. Use clearer links between each cause and its matching remedy, and vary the way you introduce supporting details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “public awareness,” “eco-friendly” and “alleviate,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “hustle and bustle areas.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the message less clear. Examples include “spick and span atomsphere,” “take this things as a granted” and “mandatory the eco-friendly subject.” Some phrases sound unnatural or do not express the intended idea precisely. Aim for straightforward, accurate wording before using idioms, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise terms for sorting waste, collection facilities and recycling education would help you explain the topic with greater control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if people start recycle things” and a relative clause in “which can significantly spread awareness.” This shows an effort to vary sentence patterns. However, some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction remain, and they occasionally make the reader pause. For example, “residents did not recycled” uses an incorrect verb form, while “people can collectively give their contribution” has an awkward grammatical pattern. The opening sentence also combines clauses in a way that is difficult to control. Practise accurate present-tense statements and conditional sentences, and check subject–verb agreement and articles. Shorter, well-controlled sentences can support your more complex ideas.
