Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is argued that in many countries ' people do not recycle their rubbish as much as they they could , in my opinion they dont have time to think about this and what they can create with rubbish whereas there are a lot of informations make them need the rubbish for making them somthing which can bring for them money rather than burning it or throw it .

Some of people and in my point view after eating they throw directly the rubbish and most of us 99% do not keep it , its rarely finding those intelligent who think significantly how to make somthing through iron or copper for work in it . cause are lazy and cant use their minds .

And other kind of people , for example before throwing the rubbish they think what they do for it but for those who wanna build somthing or making shoes or clothes or covers and its truth all these ideas it can be found in the internet and some of intelligent really making money through the rubbish also in europe there is machines which can get money from it by putting the rubbish inside and giving you money in contrast , probably they use it for somthing .

In conclusion are still people with good ideas using their rubbish for benifical stuff and keep them rather than throwing them and also there are other people in the contrary dont have time for this and its can be for them somthing stupid and wasting time even

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You attempt to address both questions: you suggest that people may be too busy or consider recycling a waste of time, and you mention reusing materials to make products or earn money. However, these points are difficult to follow and are not explained with clear, relevant support. The response also gives little practical detail about what could be done to increase recycling; the machines in Europe are mentioned, but their role is unclear. The conclusion repeats the contrast between people who reuse rubbish and those who do not, rather than drawing the answer together. The response is 244 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 13 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop the causes and propose specific measures, such as convenient collection systems or public education.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an opening, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “In conclusion” signal the final paragraph. However, the progression between ideas is often unclear. The second paragraph focuses on people throwing rubbish away, while the next shifts to people who reuse it, but the relationship between these points is not clearly established. Connectors such as “And other kind of people” and “in contrast” do not make the argument’s logic easy to follow, and several sentences run together with limited punctuation. Use one paragraph for reasons and another for solutions, then link each idea explicitly and use clear sentence boundaries.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some vocabulary relevant to recycling and reuse, including “rubbish,” “iron or copper,” “making money,” and “throwing.” It also attempts to express ideas about turning waste into useful products. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice problems that make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “somthing,” “benifical stuff,” and “informations.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “use their minds” and “build something.” Choose accurate topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe waste being “sorted,” “reused,” or “processed,” and explain that recycling can be “inconvenient” or that people may lack “awareness.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses and connectors, for example in the opening sentence and the sentence beginning “And other kind of people.” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or run together, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation frequently obscure the intended meaning. Examples include “Some of people,” “its rarely finding those intelligent,” and “there is machines.” The opening also joins several separate ideas without clear sentence boundaries, while the conclusion lacks a clear grammatical subject. Use shorter, complete sentences first, checking that each has a subject and verb; then add subordinate clauses carefully. Review plural forms, articles and verb agreement, and use full stops to separate distinct points.
