Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is a growing concern that, individuals do not treat their was for reuse as much as they could. Several reasons are responsible for tthis problem. Unconsciousness about the consequences of not recycling the rubbish and less opportunity for recycle process can result in this problem. Several measure should be taken by the government to overcome this problem.

One of the major causes of people are unwilling to recycle their rubbish is they don't know much about its result. Wastes crerate several issues in society, but people who haven't inform about this is more likely unaware of that. Moreover, if the peeople have to struggle for the recycling process, they are more loss their interest. For instance, in bangladesh's perspective reclying bin is not available everywhere, so persons face difficulties to recycle their rubbish.

To address this issues, several steps should be taken by the government. First and foremost, government should take some initiatives to raising awareness among people. The government should recruit some volunteer to spread in differenr area and provide information regarding the consequence of the problem. Furthermore, the goverment should use the social media platform to spread the awareness. Coupled with that, government should also take initiatives for increasing the recycling system. For instance, in every area there should be a allocated place for rycling bin, where can easily bring their rubbish which will go for treatment.

In conclusion, unawareness and unavailability of recycling system can conribute to willingness of people to treat their waste. However, greater involvement of governemt and volnteers regulation can overcome this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question by identifying two causes—limited awareness and difficulty accessing recycling facilities—and proposing awareness campaigns and more recycling bins. The Bangladesh example helps make the access problem concrete. However, the explanations are brief: for instance, you say people “don't know much about its result” without specifying the environmental or community consequences, and the proposed volunteer and social-media campaigns are not explained in terms of how they would change behaviour. The conclusion also introduces “volunteers regulation,” which is unclear and does not accurately summarise the proposed measures. Develop each cause and solution with a clearer explanation or example, and state your position more precisely throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. Cohesion is sometimes mechanical, however, because several sentences begin with “The government should” or “Moreover,” and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “Coupled with that” connects the awareness campaign to recycling infrastructure, but the relationship could be stated more directly. References such as “this issue” and “this” are also not always precise. Use a wider range of linking methods and make each reference clearly point to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling process,” “awareness,” “consequence,” and “recycling system,” so the reader can understand the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “treat their was for reuse” and “contribute to willingness of people” do not express the intended ideas clearly; “unconsciousness” is also not a natural choice for lack of public knowledge. Spelling errors such as “reclying,” “goverment,” and “conribute” further reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully, especially in the introduction and conclusion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if the people have to struggle for the recycling process” and a relative clause in “which will go for treatment.” However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “One of the major causes of people are unwilling” has an incorrect structure, while “people who haven't inform” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. In “there should be a allocated place,” the article and adjective form are also incorrect. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking articles and verb forms before adding more complex clauses.
