Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify two relevant reasons—limited knowledge about recycling and lack of time—and begin to suggest a solution by saying people should learn composting methods at home. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the solutions are not explained, and there is no developed account of how authorities, communities, or individuals could increase recycling. The examples about food waste and daily routines are relevant but brief and do not show clearly how the proposed changes would work. Your opening says you will discuss your views, but a complete conclusion and a clear final position are absent. The response is also 35 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop both parts of the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, and a paragraph beginning to address solutions. Sequencing within the causes paragraph is generally understandable, and phrases such as “The primary reason” and “The another crucial point” signal a move to a second idea. However, the overall progression is incomplete because the solutions paragraph stops after one brief suggestion, with no supporting explanation or conclusion. Linking expressions such as “As a result,” “Because of this,” and “Thus” are used repeatedly and sometimes make the reasoning feel mechanical rather than smoothly connected. Develop each main point in a complete paragraph and use clear references and transitions to show how each solution responds to a stated cause.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “waste products,” “organic compost,” and “daily routine,” so the reader can follow the general subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “multifarious factors” and “forthcoming segments.” However, several choices are unnatural or imprecise, including “waste things,” “fell in dustbin,” and “learn organic method,” and these reduce clarity. Some phrases are also unnecessarily formal or repetitive, such as “To commence with” and “To explicate it.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than inserting elaborate words: for example, say “throw food scraps in the bin” and “learn how to compost at home.” Check spelling and word forms as well.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession structure in “Although there are multiple cause … yet I consider…” and explanations introduced by “when” and “if.” This shows some effort to vary sentence forms. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response awkward or difficult to process. Examples include “there are multiple cause,” “they have not enough knowledge,” and “they do not want waste their time”; these involve plural forms, word order, and missing grammatical elements. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with spaces before full stops and missing capitals after them. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build longer sentences with correctly formed subordinate clauses and complete verb patterns.
