Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify limited recycling facilities and public awareness as causes, then suggest campaigns, rewards and improved facilities. These are relevant ideas, and the bottle-return example helps illustrate one solution. However, several points are only briefly explained; for instance, you mention that busy people find sorting inconvenient but do not develop how this affects recycling or how services could make sorting easier. The conclusion restates the main points but does not add support. The response is 241 words, so it is 9 words below the required minimum; 14 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This shortfall, together with the limited development of some ideas, means the task is only partially fulfilled.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “One of the most significant reason,” “Firstly” and “In conclusion” to show stages in the argument. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. “Secondly” introduces another cause after “Another reason,” while “For busy life” does not clearly connect the point about time to the explanation that follows. Some sentences run ideas together, and references such as “This” in “This may encourage people” could be more precise. Clearer links between each claim and its explanation, with less reliance on formulaic sequencing words, would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “recycling,” “landfill,” “public awareness,” “campaigns” and “environment pollution.” The response also attempts some useful phrases, such as “take this issue seriously.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural: “eassy,” “eximine,” “rubbies,” “advange” and “incresing.” Some combinations are also awkward, including “give reward for recycling” and “throw their product anywhere.” Aim to learn accurate forms and natural collocations for this topic, and avoid repeating “people,” “government” and “recycling” where a precise alternative is available. These improvements would make your meaning easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If the government and public take this issue seriously…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “One of the most significant reason” needs a plural noun, while “people do not bothered” has an incorrect verb form. In “government should take some steps for solve this problem,” the verb pattern is also inaccurate. Several sentences lack clear punctuation or contain clauses joined awkwardly, which can make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
