The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The bar chart illustrates a typical weekday for learners in three different countries.

Overall, more time was allocated to learning while less hours were put side for leisure. Additionally, all the countries allocated between 7-8 hours for sleeping while UK and Germany scheduled the same number of hours for relaxing. Furthermore, Japan students spent more time to study as compared to other countries.

In terms of study, Japan has scheduled 13 hours for studies which is almost twice the time of sleeping and nearly thrice the time for relaxing. On the other hand, Germany and UK uses only 9 hours and 8 hours for studies. All the countries have allocated approximately 8 hours for sleeping. That is: UK 8.5 hours, Japan 7 hours and Germany 8 hours.

In terms of leisure, both UK and Germany have allocated the same time (7 hours) while Japan scheduled only 4 hours for relaxing.
