The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The bar chart illustrates the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Overall, it is evident that Japan spends more time studying as compared to other countries. Additionally, both the UK and Germany has scheduled the same hours for relaxing.

From the graph, it is clear that Japan has allocated 13 hours for study while the UK and Germany has scheduled 8 hours and 9 hours respectively. In comparison, the UK and Germany have allocated the same number of hours in a day for leisure. The UK set aside 7 hours while Germany scheduled 7 hours. On the other hand, Japan only allocated 4 hours in a day for relaxing.

Although the countries have put aside different hours for sleeping, neither of them allocated more than 8.5 or less than 7. The UK scheduled 8.5 which was more as compared to other time put aside by other countries. This was followed by Germany and Japan each scheduling 8 hours and 7 hours respectively.
