IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The chart ilustrates three different activites that students ini United Kingdom, Japan, and Germany are doing during the weekdays.

Overall, the students spend about eight hours of their time to study, and obout seven hours for relaxing. They also use minimum seven hours to sleep. But not like any other countries, students in UK prefer to use most of their time to sleep rather than for studying or relaxing. The students also choose to put relaxing in the 3rd priorities during weekdays.

In UK, students are tend to use their weekdays in balance activites. They sleep and study for about eight hours and relax for seven hours. While students in Japan have a very big gap between those three activites. They prefer study for more than 12 hours in a day, which is very extrem, and only use four hours to relax. In other side, students in Germany use most of their time to sleep and relax, but also keep studying for nine ours in a day.
