Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the response. While the student attempts to identify main features, the analysis is incomplete and stops abruptly mid-sentence. The data reporting is inconsistent, and the lack of a full summary means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, ensure all data points are covered, comparisons are made clearly, and the response reaches the required length to allow for a comprehensive overview and detailed reporting of the chart's features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows some attempt at logical organization with an introduction and body paragraphs. However, the progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore' are used, but they feel mechanical due to the fragmented sentences and lack of flow. The paragraphing is present but ineffective because the final paragraph is cut off. To improve, focus on linking sentences more naturally and ensuring that each paragraph is fully developed before moving to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'highest number of student are witnessed' and 'same number of students are noticed' are used repeatedly, which restricts the range. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'register in studying' instead of 'enrolled in studies'. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey basic information but lacks the flexibility and precision required for higher bands. Expanding your range of reporting verbs and nouns related to data description would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('highest number of student are', 'minor difference is shows') and awkward phrasing ('8.5 number of student witnessed'). The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There is little evidence of complex sentence structures. To improve, focus on basic subject-verb agreement and ensure that sentence structures are complete and grammatically sound before attempting more complex forms.
