IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The provided bar graph illustrates the investment of time in three different activities on weekends in Japan ,UK and Germany.

Overall, it is clear that the most of time utilised on studies , except in UK ,while all the countries exhibites almost similar contribution . Japan was the only country where student employs most time in studying and least time in relaxing.

In the case of UK, around 8.5% of time invested on sleeping followed by 8 % is the second highest time spent on studying .Subsequently, the rate of figure declined by almost 1% in case of relaxing . In Japan , student invest 13% of their time on studying while 4% on relaxing . Interestingly, Japanese student priortise studying over another activities . Also, 7% on sleeping on weekends.

Germany children showed their more interest in studying then other activities whereas sleeping and relaxing observed approximately 8% and 7% of time respectively.
