Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the task by comparing the three categories across the countries. However, the data interpretation is often inaccurate and confusing. For instance, the claim that 'studying in Japan is at peak point total weekdays are 14' is unclear and does not accurately reflect typical bar chart data. The report lacks a clear overview, and the comparisons are frequently muddled, such as the statement about 'sleeping ration' and 'relaxing proportion'. The information is not presented in a logical, data-driven manner, making it difficult for the reader to follow the trends. To improve, focus on identifying the most significant features and describing them with precise data points rather than vague generalizations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into two paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'By contrast' are used, they are often applied incorrectly or do not logically connect the preceding and following ideas. The referencing is frequently unclear; for example, 'the others groups' and 'other part of world' are vague. The internal structure of the sentences is often disjointed, which hinders the flow of information. To achieve a higher band, ensure that each paragraph has a clear central theme and that cohesive devices are used to link ideas naturally rather than mechanically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often used inaccurately. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sleeping ration' instead of 'sleeping hours' or 'proportion', and 'at bottom of chart' instead of 'the lowest'. The phrase 'touched approximately 13 days weekday' is confusing and does not convey the intended meaning. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express the data with precision. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to describing charts, such as 'account for', 'represent', 'the highest figure', and 'a significant difference', and ensure you use these terms in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('sleeping ration of UK is 8.5 is'), incorrect comparative structures ('higher then' instead of 'higher than'), and awkward sentence construction ('Japan's people or students are more active then others'). The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences that lack complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, specifically the correct use of comparatives and prepositions, and proofread your work to eliminate basic errors in agreement and word form.
