IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The bar chart compares the activites that the students allocate their time during a typical weekday in three different countries.

Overall, it is clearly show that most of the students in Japan use their time in studying, however, the amount of time allocated for relaxing is few. In United Kingdom and Germany, learners had a balance time-management, although relaxing had the least number of hours.

In Japan, it is noticeable that most students use their time studying for 13 hours a day. Relaxing, on the other hand had given the least priority at 4 hours. Learners in United Kingdom spent their time sleeping for 8.5 hours a day, whereas 8 hours for studying and 7 hours for relaxing respectively.

Furthermore, in Germany, students focused more on studying the same with Japan. Students used their 9 hours per day studying while 8 hours in sleeping and 7 hours in relaxing respectively.
