Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. Because the response is only 95 words, the information is presented in a very fragmented and underdeveloped manner. While you have attempted to identify some data points, the lack of length prevents you from providing a comprehensive overview or a detailed comparison of the main features as required by the task. To improve, you must ensure you reach the word count by providing a more thorough analysis of the data, including a clear introduction, a well-developed overview, and detailed supporting paragraphs that compare the three countries effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organized into short, simple paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas together, making the text feel like a list of observations rather than a cohesive report. For example, the transition between countries is abrupt, and the use of linking words like 'furthermore' and 'however' is limited and sometimes misused. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices such as 'in contrast,' 'similarly,' or 'whereas' to create a smoother flow between your sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple verbs like 'rose,' 'climbed,' and 'decreased.' There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'studying significantly grown' (should be 'has grown significantly') and 'reached at' (should be 'reached'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated,' 'remained stable,' or 'accounted for,' and ensure you use the correct prepositions with these verbs.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with verb tenses and sentence structure, such as 'studying experienced increase' (missing article) and 'relaxing deceased' (incorrect word choice; likely meant 'decreased'). Many sentences are simple and lack the complex structures expected at higher levels. For instance, 'In Germany, studying surged overall 9 weekday' is grammatically incomplete. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including the correct use of articles, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, before attempting more complex sentence structures.
