The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The bar graph compares typical Monday to Friday routine for students from the UK, Japan, and Germany.

Overall, a typical weekday of the students are divided into three parts that are studying, sleeping, and relaxing. Out of the three activties, the students spend highest amount of time studying and lowest amount of time relaxing across all the three nations. However, it worth noting that students in Japan spend a lot of their time studying compared to the UK and Germany.

The routine of the students from the UK and Germany are quite similar. On average a student study for 8 hours in the UK and 9 hours in Germany. Whereas, in Japan a student devotes 13 hours to study on a weekday.

Students sleep for 8.5 hours and 8 hours, in the UK and Germany respectively. In Japan, a student sleeps for just 7 hour on a weekday. In the remaing time, students allocate 7 hours of the day relaxing in both the UK and Germany, which is just 4 hours in Japan.
