IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The bar chart illustrates the typical weekdays routines of students in UK, Japan and Germany. Overall it is apparent that studying time of Japanese student was maximum and relaxing time was minimum while the sleeping time of British students was maximum.

Firstly, the sleeping time of UK schools students was at 8.5 hours which was slightly higher than the German students, moreover, the Japanese school students were 7 hours which was lesser than other. In addition to this, the relaxing time of German students and British students was similiar which was 7 hours while the Japanese students relaxing which was significant lesser than others which was at 4 hours.

Secondly, the studying time of Japanese students was 13 hours which was significant higher than other countries, moreover the studying time in UK was 8 hours which was slightly less than German students. The time difference of was only 1 hour from the German students.
