The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The bar chart illustrates how students from the UK, Japan and Germany typically spend a weekday.

Overall, it is noticeable that japanese students spent longer hours studying and fewer hours relaxing, while UK and Germany students have a more balanced lifestyle.

It can be noticed from this chart that japanese students typically spend the highest amount of hours studying when comparing with the UK and Germany. They study around 13 hours per day, following by Germany with 9 hours and UK with 8 hours daily. On the other hand, the figure shows that Japanese students accounted only 4 hours per day relaxing, the lowest hours between the countries. Both Germany and UK students used 7 hours per day to relax.

All the students spent a similiar time to sleep; with 1.5 hours difference between UK (8.5 hours) and Japan (7 hours), Germany stayed at the middle with 8 hours of sleeping per student.
