IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart shows the typical weekday for students in three different countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given bar chart illustrates the normal day of a week for students of Uk, Japan and Germany.

Overall, students of Japan spend highest number of hours in studying. They nearly spend half of their day in studying while they allocate least number of hours for relaxing as compare to other countries. Students from UK and Germany have apparently shown balanced approach for studying, relaxing and sleeping.

Students from UK have mantained stable time table; dividing nearly equal number of hours for each activity of the day. Both Uk and Germany students spends almost equal hours to sleep and relax. However, Germany students spend one more hour than UK students to study.

Japan students spents 13 hours of their day while studying making them higest among the list. Also, they spent only 4 hours to relax making them least among the given list. But, they spend 7 hours to sleep making them allocating almost same sleeping hours like other countries students.
