Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response attempts to address all parts of the prompt by summarizing the data for the three countries, but the content remains limited and the selection of features lacks precision. While there is an overview provided at the beginning, statements like 'the students in Japan is hold highest study parsantege' and comparisons regarding the UK and Germany are somewhat underdeveloped and contain inaccuracies or vague phrasing. Some data points are reported, such as Japan's studying figure at 13 percent, but overall the information is not fully or clearly elaborated to meet higher standards.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is an attempt to organize the response into logical paragraphs, starting with an introduction and overview, followed by body paragraphs and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is hindered by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices, such as the frequent overuse of phrases like 'it can be clearly seen'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the links between sentences do not always flow smoothly, resulting in a somewhat disjointed structure that lacks sophisticated organizational control.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that strain the reader. Terms such as 'parsantege', 'similer', 'comper', 'leash', 'reshio', and 'thire' reflect a limited lexical range and frequent spelling mistakes. Words are often used with incorrect forms, such as 'most least' or 'most leash', which impede clear communication and show very limited flexibility or control over uncommon lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences with frequent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, and articles. Examples include 'the students in Japan is hold', 'The U.K and Germany its almosat similer', and 'Germanys have 8%'. Attempts at forming more complex sentences result in persistent, frequent errors that cause significant difficulty for the reader and disrupt the clarity of the text.
