Typical weekday for students in three different countries

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This bar chart describes the typical weekday for the students in three different countries including the United Kingdom(UK), the Japan and the Germany.

The first bar in the bar chart is describing the weekday for the students in the United Kingdom(UK) where it describes the percentage of the students who are sleeping ,the students who are studying and the students who are relaxing without taking tension for their studies. The sleeping percentage of students in (UK) united kingdom is (8.5%) and the studying percentage of students is (8%) relatively slighter less than the sleeping. At the end the relaxing percentage of students are (7%) which is lesser than all the sleeping and studying percentage in United Kingdom(UK).

The second bar in the bar chart typicaly descibes the students percentage in the sleeping, studying and relaxing of the Japan.the major point is that the studying of students in Japan is (13%) whic is comparatively very higher in respect to both study students in (UK) and the Germany. But,in case all the three things are relatively less than the (UK) and the Germany which shows the progress of the Japanese .The percentage of sleeping is(7%)and the realxing is (4%).

The third bar in the bar chart basically expresses the students weekdat in Germany .The sleeping percentage of the students in the Germany is (8%)

slight higher than the Japan but less than the (UK) and the studying percentage is (9%) and the realxing percentage of the students is (7%) .

In conclusion we can say that the students in Japan are more effective for the country progress than the students in UK and the Germany but it is not that the students in(UK) and the Germany are not more progressive.Every country should make good percentage in studies and all other things so that it can work for the progress of the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You report several figures accurately, including the UK’s 8.5 hours of sleep and 7 hours of relaxation, Japan’s 13 hours of study and 4 hours of relaxation, and Germany’s 9 hours of study. However, the response only minimally fulfils the chart-summary task because it repeatedly describes each country without giving a clear, accurate overview of the main comparisons. The claim that all three Japanese figures are lower than those for the UK and Germany is incorrect: Japan has by far the highest study figure. The conclusion also introduces unsupported claims about students being more effective and national progress. Focus on the chart’s measured hours, identify the highest and lowest figures, and avoid interpreting what they mean for a country’s progress.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each country, and a conclusion. This makes the information reasonably easy to locate. However, progression is limited because the body follows the chart category by category rather than organising the main comparisons, and the conclusion repeats country-level claims instead of summarising the key pattern. Linking phrases such as “At the end” and “But, in case” are awkward or unclear, while repeated openings like “The first bar” and “The second bar” make the writing mechanical. Grouping the figures by activity—for example, comparing study time across all three countries—would create a clearer line of development and reduce repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “percentage,” “sleeping,” “studying,” and “relaxing,” and attempt comparative language such as “higher” and “less.” However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. The chart reports time, but the response repeatedly calls the figures “percentage,” and phrases such as “without taking tension” and “make good percentage” do not express the data clearly. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “typicaly,” “descibes,” “whic,” and “realxing.” Use precise terms such as “hours,” “spent studying,” and “the lowest figure,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the reader can generally identify which country and activity you mean. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. For example, “the students in three different countries including the United Kingdom(UK), the Japan and the Germany” has problems with articles and sentence construction; “the studying of students in Japan is” also uses an awkward grammatical pattern. Agreement and number are inconsistent in phrases such as “the relaxing percentage of students are,” and punctuation is often missing around commas and brackets. Practise accurate comparison structures, article use with country names, and sentence boundaries. Shorter, well-controlled sentences would help make the data easier to understand.
