Student answer (Band 5.0)

In current situation of populance be like smoking a ciggerate can cause severe problems to our lungs and organisations could make it illegal in many different ways. I strongly agree with this opinion and will demonstrate further.

Nowadays, Jobs plays a vital role in smoking cases like alots of burden to employees so that it stress more and human's will make it relief with ciggerates. Especially ciggerates are so addictive that if a person smokes ciggerate for the first time then it gonna be definately crave for the second time and this will works as per life cycles. Additionally, Ciggerates can cause detrimental to peoples that it acquires nicotine and tobacco that may source to many diseases an example lungs cancer , dry cough , mouth cancer and a alots of harm to human body organs especially it damage sperm health to mens and imbalance period cycles for females.

Conversly, in todays generation called as genz students smokes ciggerate to be cool, that they think ciggerate will help us for good communication and for understanding that's the whole mentality of genz about ciggerates. However, my opinion is that ciggerates should be ban as per government and make it illegal for teenagers. Although it also cause the drastic problem to our health that if someone smokes daily and that makes an habit for person.

To be concluded, my opinion is that ciggerates should be illigal for teenagers and make a legal age for smoking as per government norms eventually in ciggerates government should make an warn sign in ciggerate box so that a person could recognise it very easily that smoking is injurious to health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position, though the development of ideas is inconsistent. You mention the health risks of smoking and the social pressures on teenagers, which are relevant points. However, the argument lacks depth; for instance, the link between job stress and smoking is asserted but not logically explained. Furthermore, your position is slightly contradictory: you initially agree that smoking should be made illegal, but later suggest only banning it for teenagers. To improve, ensure your main arguments are fully extended with clear supporting evidence and maintain a consistent stance throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. Transitions between sentences are frequently mechanical or missing, such as the abrupt shift from discussing job stress to the addictive nature of cigarettes. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes inaccurate, for example, 'Conversly' is used incorrectly to introduce a new point about teenagers rather than a contrasting one. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words more naturally and ensure each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, with several spelling errors such as 'ciggerate' (cigarette), 'populance' (population), and 'illigal' (illegal). There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'organisations could make it illegal' (governments would be more appropriate) and 'imbalance period cycles'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'detrimental' and 'addictive', the frequent errors and limited range hinder the clarity of your expression. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terms and focusing on correct spelling will significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('Jobs plays', 'ciggerates can cause detrimental'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'Especially ciggerates are so addictive that if a person smokes ciggerate for the first time then it gonna be definately crave for the second time'. The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of complex sentence structures.
