Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position: you agree with restricting smoking in public but disagree with a total ban. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you mention health risks and the impact on youth, the explanation of why a total ban would be counterproductive is a bit superficial. The argument that 'every things become popular under the ban' is an interesting point but lacks sufficient elaboration or evidence to be fully persuasive. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by a clear explanation or a more detailed example to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors. For instance, the transition 'Similarly, teenager involve in smoking...' does not connect smoothly to the previous point about university students. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, which impacts the overall progression of your argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help improve the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'narcotics', 'prohibition', and 'regulations'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'Smoking is undeniable to create many diseases' (should be 'undeniably causes') and 'feel pround involving in smoking' (should be 'proud of engaging in'). There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas with greater clarity and impact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Smoking create', 'teenager involve'), article usage ('the illegal', 'the society'), and word form errors ('easily accessable of narcotics'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. You attempt to use complex structures, but they often contain errors that affect the accuracy of your message. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your score.
