Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years people have certain type of products which are good and bad for their health. Like that cigarettes is one of the most used products by man and women both. People like to smoke cigarettes because it provides stress relief, it triggers dopamine and many more. Once They started smoking they become addicted of smoking. Although it is not good for heath they ignore the warning which is provide on the packets of the cigarettes Further in this essay I will discuss it problems and solutions and in the end I'll mention my prospective in the end.

It is true that Smoking is dangerous for the health although people like to smoke. Humans who usually smokes can cause major health issues like Censer, Hart attack, they can loose sense of smell and test and many more. Secondly By smoking day by day they are wasting their money in unhealthy and unwonted product. Sometimes they try to quite the smoking but they have bult that daily habit of smoking so it might be difficult to quite and some time they start again smoking.

However the citizens who are smoking among them most of them are adults so its their responsibility to quite or not. They should think about their family members and friends that what will happen to them when he/she will not survive? where as government should launch certain campiness and rehabilitation center like they have for Drugs, Alcohol and all. The other things that government can do is rise the price if the cigarette.

To conclude I believe that people should understand by their own and quite the smoking so that they can live long healthy and happy life with their loved once.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the health risks of smoking and offer relevant measures, including rehabilitation support and higher cigarette prices. Your conclusion also makes your view clear: people should stop smoking. However, the question asks specifically whether smoking should be made illegal, and your position on prohibition is not stated clearly. The introduction promises to discuss “problems and solutions” rather than directly answering the extent of your agreement, while the body focuses mainly on individual responsibility and government campaigns. Some points, such as the effects on family members and the difficulty of quitting, are relevant but need fuller explanation or examples. State clearly whether you support a ban, and explain why that approach would or would not be effective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on harms, a paragraph on possible responses, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your argument. You also use signposts such as “Secondly,” “However,” and “To conclude.” At times, though, these links feel mechanical or do not show the relationship between ideas precisely. For example, “However” introduces government actions and personal responsibility rather than a clear contrast with the previous paragraph. The introduction’s promise to discuss “problems and solutions” also does not quite match the essay’s argument. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and connect supporting details more explicitly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “addicted,” “stress relief,” “rehabilitation center,” and “health issues,” so the subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to interpret. Examples include “Censer” for cancer, “Hart attack,” “quite” for quit, and “unwonted product.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “rise the price if the cigarette” and “live long healthy and happy life with their loved once.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully, especially for key terms. Replacing repeated general words such as “things” and “many more” with precise descriptions would also make your points clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a concession with “Although” and a conditional question about what may happen to family members. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation recur. For example, “Humans who usually smokes can cause” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “they have bult that daily habit” does not form a clear grammatical structure. In “the warning which is provide,” the verb form is incorrect. Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, particularly in the opening paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses once the basic structure is secure.
