Student answer (Band 5.0)
Smoking is cause of serious illness and death and people didnot know this is how dangrous for our health. Smoking is now normal and legal fairly in every country and smoking is also play significant role in economy of country maybe that is the reason why smoking is not illegal.
In every country thousands of people died cause of smoking and also in our home country ''Pakistan'' which is made up of on the name of Islam. in our country we see thousands of people smoking daily which include childs, younger and older. About 20\30 year before just few people sre smoking which include just over age people like 50,60 plus age.
And now all the story are different now child younger and older every age group people use smoking. In Genz community they use smoking just for chill and show of but they dont know this cause of serious illness and death in future. The most common disease of smoking is cough and foot cancer. people know that but they not understand till it disease to him. Some where i see that the womens are also smoking in europe countriese.
The human life is very important dont waste it by using smoking like cigerite, vape and other things. i think so it would be illegal in all countries and ban that is the only way to stop smoking everywhere. it make a loss of economy but it recover when the humans are healthful. And they enjoy a beautiful life with our families.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in favour of making smoking illegal, especially in the conclusion: “it would be illegal in all countries.” You also give relevant points about illness, young people smoking, and the possible economic cost. However, the discussion only partly develops the question. The claim that prohibition is “the only way” is asserted rather than supported, and the economic point is not explained with evidence or a clear comparison. Some examples, such as the change in smoking across age groups in Pakistan, are broad and do not show how they support a legal ban. Develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example, and address the practical case for and against prohibition more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the issue, gives examples and concerns in the middle paragraphs, and ends with a firm recommendation. This helps the reader follow your general position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are placed together without showing their relationship. For example, the discussion moves from young people smoking to “foot cancer” and then to women smoking in Europe without explaining how these points build the argument. Linking phrases such as “And now” and “Some where” are either repetitive or do not clearly signal the connection. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then use clear references and transitions to connect explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “serious illness,” “economy,” “illegal,” and “ban,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and basic wording is repeated, particularly “smoking,” “people,” and “country.” Several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to interpret, such as “foot cancer,” “show of,” “cigerite,” and “healthful.” Some phrases also do not sound natural in this context, including “smoking is also play significant role” and “made up of on the name of Islam.” Build a wider set of accurate terms for health effects, addiction, prevention, and economic consequences, and check spelling and collocations so your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express connected ideas using longer sentences, for example, “it make a loss of economy but it recover when the humans are healthful.” However, control of sentence structure is weak, and errors frequently make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “Smoking is cause,” “people didnot know this is how,” and “thousands of people died cause of smoking,” where verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are not controlled. Agreement and tense are also inconsistent, as in “it make” and “all the story are different.” Punctuation and capitalisation are often missing, creating run-on or unclear sentences. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “which.”
