Student answer (Band 5.0)
Smoking, a widely followed trend, and would have been increased over the past new years. In the contemporary era, smoking has the substantial impacts on the quality of life. I would completely argued that, smoking or such unnecessary activities should be banned by the government.
The rising trends revelant to such kind of acitvities include amoking, vape and certain drugs, allowing people to be addicted and make their like more worsen than before. Smoking can be more dangerous than it would have been in the past. It impacts on the life increased drastically and causing a life threathing disease. For example, people are more prone to the certain lungs disease; breathing congestion and asthama are the main symptoms.
Furthermore, smoking can leads to death if having in more quantity. From my perspectives, there are few people who just indulged themselves in such a life-challanges activities by following their friends.
Despite that, to make more healthy and balance lifestyle of the society; undoubtebly the governement should make some laws to protect humanity,, meanwhile the individuals should have to follow every rule imposed by the authority.Firstly, the government system should consider "smoking" as an illegal act and citizens have to submit fines for breaking any law.
Governments should make this act as illegal and control the exprot or import sales foe this product.
In conclusion, government have more power to mitigate this activity then citizens. They should be maken more appropriate levels for inhibiting such as an illegal act. Individual role would not have be suppressed in this time. Combining acts from these two partied can improves lifespans, all over the globe.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in broad terms: you say smoking “should be banned by the government” and return to government action in the conclusion. You also give relevant reasons, including serious lung and breathing problems, possible death, and peer influence. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether smoking should be illegal. It shifts to vaping and drugs, and does not explain why prohibition is preferable to measures such as restrictions or health education. Several claims, such as smoking becoming more dangerous “than it would have been in the past,” are not supported or clarified. To strengthen the response, keep the focus on smoking and explain each main reason with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposting such as “Furthermore,” “Despite that,” and “In conclusion” shows an attempt to guide the reader. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from smoking to vaping and drugs, then to disease and peer influence, while the next introduces government laws without a clear link to the preceding points. Some connectors are inaccurate or awkward, and the conclusion repeats the proposal rather than drawing the argument together. Organise the essay around a small number of clear points, use one paragraph for health harms and another for the case for legal controls, and make each transition express the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “quality of life,” “life-threatening disease,” “illegal act,” and “lifespans,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, word-form and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “rising trends revelant,” “make their like more worsen,” “life-challanges activities,” and “exprot or import sales.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “in more quantity” and “appropriate levels for inhibiting.” Build a reliable set of expressions for health effects and policy, and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would make your argument clearer without relying on repeated references to “activity” and “act.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea (“if having in more quantity”) and a contrast introduced by “Despite that.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “I would completely argued” has an incorrect verb form, “smoking can leads” has incorrect agreement, and “government have more power” does not match the singular subject. The opening sentence is also a fragment, while punctuation and spacing around commas and full stops are inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete main clause.
