ON THE OTHER HAND, SMOKING IS CAUSING BAD TO ENVIRONMENT. AS NATURE ALSO PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE IN HUMAN'S LIFE. TO OVERCOME THIS PLANTATION OF TREES SHOULD BE MORE. ANOTHER REASON IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL OR EXPENSIVE TO REDUCE THE USAGE BY THE PEOPLE. IF THE COST IS HIGH THEN THE PEOPLE WILL THINK TO BUY. THE AUTHORITIES SHOULD USE TECHNOLOGY AS FIRST PREFENCE AS MANY INDIVIDAUALS ARE USING SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AND OTHER PLATFORMS THIS WILL GUIDE THEM. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that smoking should be illegal, and you give relevant reasons, including health risks and effects on the environment. You also suggest measures such as education, higher prices and social-media campaigns. However, the response only partially develops the argument. The health paragraph lists illnesses but does not explain how these support a legal ban, while the environmental discussion shifts to planting trees and reducing bad smells rather than showing why smoking should be prohibited. The task asks how far you agree, so explain why a ban is preferable to alternatives such as taxation or restrictions, and support your main reasons with specific examples. This would make your response more fully address the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers recognise the sections. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the second body paragraph moves from environmental harm to higher prices, technology and advertising without showing how these points connect. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, and references such as “these” in “To avoid these” do not clearly identify what is being avoided. Group related ideas together, use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and make links between claims explicit. A clearer sequence—health case, policy response, then conclusion—would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “cancer,” “cardiac arrest,” “authorities,” “resources” and “advertisements,” so the reader can identify the subject and your proposed actions. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “danger problem,” “health challenge,” “smoking habits” and “reduce bad smell.” Repetition of “smoking,” “people” and “should” also limits flexibility. Spelling errors, including “continously,” “prefence” and “illegelly,” further reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for health effects and policy, and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe smoking as a “serious public-health risk” and refer to “respiratory diseases” rather than “breathing problem.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “If the cost is high then the people will think to buy.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “Smoking have cause,” “I is effecting,” and “smoking can be reduce.” Several sentences are fragments or lack a clear grammatical connection, such as “By providing necessary resources will help the youngsters to follow.” Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, particularly around sentence boundaries. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and verb forms. For instance: “Smoking causes serious illnesses” and “Providing resources may help young people avoid smoking.”
