Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's world, smoking is widely increased problem in all over the world. An onging debate whether the smoking reduced when make it as illegal activity, or not. I strongly disagree with this point because of these action creates even more criminal activities. This eassy will examine both perpectives along with examples before conclusion.

On the one hand, smoking enables the significant health issues. In order to make it as a illegal activity not only reduce the amount of users , it significantly decline in cultivation of drugs. Moreover, it reduce the smugglings. For instance, after make it as illegal activity, most of individuals stop to consume smoking as well as the cultivaters stop planation of drugs. As a results, the problems occure from smoking eventually expelled.

On the other hand, this action should also has limitations. Evenafter, the government make it has a illegal action, they choose other pathways for cultivation and smuggling allows the government should spent vast amount of time to reduce the activies. Instead of that, the government bring awarness among the individuals and educational instutions. For instance, the government should conduct awarness programs related to health issues and effects caused by smoking may reduce these action. In additon, governemnet should introduce a scheme that, who ever indentify the smoking person, they get reward.

In conclusion, eventhough smoking should make it as a illegal activity, it doesn't stop the problems occured from smoking. Consequently, comeup with a new ideas and schemes should expelled the causes occured.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that smoking should not be made illegal, and you offer relevant points about criminal activity and government education. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether smoking should be illegal because much of the first body paragraph argues that prohibition would reduce drug cultivation and smuggling, without explaining how these claims relate specifically to tobacco smoking. The opposing point about health risks is also not explored in enough detail, and the conclusion introduces “new ideas and schemes” without specifying what they are. To strengthen the response, explain your position consistently, develop two directly relevant reasons, and support each with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the contrast between “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” helps signal a change in direction. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph appears to support prohibition, while the introduction and conclusion oppose it. Some links between ideas are unclear: the move from smoking to “cultivation of drugs” and then to smuggling is not explained. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “Consequently” are used, but they do not always make the relationship between claims clear. Organise each paragraph around one clear point and use linking phrases only where the logical connection is explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “criminal activities,” “smuggling,” “educational institutions,” and “health issues,” and you try to express ideas about policy and prevention. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument hard to understand, such as “smoking is widely increased problem,” “cultivaters stop planation of drugs,” and “the problems occure … expelled.” Spelling errors, including “onging,” “eassy,” and “perpectives,” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than more complicated wording: for example, use “smoking is a widespread problem” and “reduce tobacco use.” Proofread spelling and check that each chosen word fits the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “Evenafter, the government make it has a illegal action…” and “who ever indentify the smoking person, they get reward.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, verb forms, agreement and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “smoking is widely increased problem” needs a grammatical subject complement, while “this action should also has limitations” has an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence fragment, “An onging debate whether…,” also needs a main verb. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns when editing.
