Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a position—“i also agree”—and mention relevant concerns, including harm to body parts and air pollution. However, the response only begins to explain these points: the examples “kidney, lunce and so on” are not developed, and there is no clear explanation of why smoking should be made illegal or consideration of the implications of a ban. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, so it cannot provide the reasons and supporting examples needed to address the task fully. To improve, explain your position directly, develop two relevant reasons with specific examples, and conclude by answering how far you agree.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: “on the one hend” signals a point, and the writer moves from smoking’s prevalence to its effects on health and the environment. This gives the reader a limited sense of direction. However, the response has no developed paragraph structure or conclusion, and the ideas are not connected into a clear progression. The phrase “it also human body parts” is difficult to follow, while “other wise” does not clearly introduce a new relationship between ideas. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, connect each claim to its explanation or example, and use linking expressions only when their relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The response attempts vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “serious illnesses,” “human body parts,” and “environmant,” and it tries to refer to addiction and pollution. This shows some ability to communicate the general subject. However, the range is basic and several spelling and word-choice errors make meaning difficult to understand, such as “lilnesses,” “adected,” “drought,” and “lunce.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “one kind of drought” does not clearly convey the intended idea, and “its working is same patents” is unclear. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases, such as “addictive substance,” “lung disease,” and “air pollution,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You make an attempt to form connected sentences, including a sentence beginning “it is not only…” and another using “for examples.” The basic intended meaning can sometimes be inferred, but sentence structures are mostly simple and control is inconsistent. For instance, “The are several views abouts smoking can cause…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “i also agree in this reason” does not form a correct agreement pattern. The sentence “it also human body parts” is missing a verb, while capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise complete subject–verb sentences, accurate articles and prepositions, and simple complex structures such as “Smoking should be restricted because…”. Then proofread each sentence for a clear verb and complete meaning.
