Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and discuss smoking’s health effects and possible government action, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the position is not sustained clearly: the first body paragraph focuses on advertising and government revenue, while the second says the government “should not have given permission to sell illegal,” leaving your view on making smoking illegal difficult to identify. Several points are unclear or insufficiently explained, including the reference to people smoking after heartbreak and the claim about the UK. To strengthen the response, state precisely whether you support a complete ban or another restriction, then develop relevant reasons and explain how each example supports that position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable essay shape, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader see the intended sections. However, the ideas do not progress consistently: the first body paragraph moves from health damage to government funds, celebrity advertising and social media without clear links, and the second combines banning sales, a UK example and heartbreak. Some connectors, such as “Hence” and “Consequently,” imply relationships that are not explained. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, use clearer references to connect sentences, and ensure that examples directly illustrate the point being made.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “detrimental,” “serious,” “advertisiment,” and “diseases,” and you try to express cause and effect. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or inaccurately chosen, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “create detrimental role,” “forest thing,” and “drop their lifestyle” do not convey a clear meaning in this context. There are also frequent spelling errors, for example “yongster,” “compaines,” and “supar.” Build a more reliable set of words for health, regulation and advertising, and check spelling and collocations. Prefer precise, familiar expressions over ambitious wording that does not fit the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms and attempt to connect ideas with clauses, as in “when they have broken their heart” and “which causes serious part of our life.” However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors in basic sentence patterns frequently make the message hard to understand. Examples include “majority of many urban area,” “government have given,” and “Their are several benefit.” Articles, subject–verb agreement, plurals and verb forms need more consistent control. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, particularly where several ideas are joined in one sentence. Practise writing clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses only when their grammatical structure is secure.
