According to my knowlege smoking is not illegal but I definatlly agree is cause illness because it mentioned on the box what kind of illness you will be causing if you will smoke but after knowing all the facts people are not avoding they are cansuming it beacuse they thought cansuming smoking or alchol are relaxing and help them to stress free but they are not focusing on the result . Smoking is very addictive if you start smoking then you will crave for it and if thought I try one and then leave its like if you cansume one then on next dat same time you will feel like take one more nothing will happend because you thought thet way and you will get addicted and you are even realise . So try avoide these thing beacuse your family will sufer from these thing if you will sufer from any illness your family will take care of you not any one else beacuse nobody will take exept your familly not even your friend and girlfriends and boyfriends . take care your own health if some one is telling its take a sip simply say no to them . Even you can motivate other to stop smoking beacuse of there good heath . So many illness are come from smoking and there is no medecan are invented yet so if you think you take medican after some illnes no its not posible some time . Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position in favour of preventing smoking, and you give relevant reasons, including addiction, health risks and the effect illness can have on family members. These points show an understanding of the health concern in the prompt. However, the response only partly answers whether smoking should be made illegal: it says smoking is “not illegal” and urges people to stop, but does not explain whether you support a legal ban or consider alternatives such as restrictions, education or treatment. Most ideas are asserted rather than developed with clear explanation or a specific example. State your position on legality directly, then support it with two focused reasons and explain how each supports your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a recognisable line of thought: it moves from the health warning on cigarette packaging to addiction, family consequences and advice to refuse smoking. However, it is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader has little help distinguishing the main arguments from personal advice. Many ideas are joined by repeated “because,” “so” and “and,” and some links are unclear—for example, the shift from addiction to who will care for an ill person. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Use clear topic sentences and connect each supporting explanation to the question of whether smoking should be illegal.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “addictive,” “illness,” “crave” and “motivate,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “smoking,” “illness” and “family.” Frequent spelling errors—including “knowlege,” “definatlly” and “medecan”—and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the message difficult to follow. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “help them to stress free” and “take a sip” when discussing smoking. Build a more precise set of topic words and check spelling and collocations; for example, distinguish between “smoke a cigarette” and “drink alcohol,” and use “relieve stress” for the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, including a conditional sequence about trying one cigarette and becoming addicted. This shows an effort to go beyond short, simple statements. However, the response relies heavily on run-on sentences, and complex attempts are often faulty, which can make relationships between ideas hard to understand. For example, “if you will smoke” and “if you will suffer from any illness” use an unsuitable future form after “if,” while “you are even realise” lacks a correct verb structure. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add accurate clauses using “if,” “because” and “although.”
