Student answer (Band 6.0)
IT IS AN UNDENIABLE FACT THAT NOW A DAYS UNWANTED DIESEASES ARE GRABBING SERIOUS ATTENTION. SMOKING IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST SPREAD VIRUS RATHER THAN KNOWING IT CAN LEAD TO CANCER TOO. THIS ESSAY WILL GIVE AN CLEAR IMAGE OF HOW MUCH I AGREETO THIS STATEMENT.
SMOKING IS BECOMING VERY COMMON BY THE PASSING TIME . EARLIER ONLY PARTICULAR AGE GROUP WERE DOING IT , BUT NOW IN THE YOUTH IT IS SPREADING LIKE A FASHION . KNWOING HHOW MUCH WORSE IMPACT IT WILL HAVE ON THEM , STILL TO LOOK AMONG THE CIRCLE THEY CHOOSES TO SMOKE. FOR INSTANCE , A SURVEY WASHELD IN THE YEAR 2022 OF HOW MUCH POPULATION IS ADDICTED TO THIS AND IN RESULT IT WAS FOUND THAT MORE THAN 70 PERCENT OF YOUNG GENERTAION ARE INVOLVED IN IT.
MANUFACTURING COMPANIES ARE AWARE OF HOW MUCH HARM IT WILL HAVE STILL THEY ARE PRODUCING IT . THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPANIES WHICH ARE SELLING THEM IN DIFFERENT FLAVOURS AND CHEAP RATE SO THAT ADDICTION RATE GOES HIGHER AND HIGHER. AT THIS POINT THE QUESTION THAT ROSE IS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SUCH THINGS ?
THE ANSWER TO THAT IS GOVERNMENT . IF THEY PUT CERTAIN STRICT LAWS AGAINST THE MANUFACTURES AND ALSO ON THE CONSUMERS IT WILL HAVE THE GREAT IMPACT. PRODUCING SUCH THINGS WHICH WILL LEAD TO UNWANTED SERIOUS HEALTH SHOULD BE TOTALLY PROHIBITED. IT SHOULD BE CONSIDERD AS AN ILLEGAL DRUG. THE ONE WHO CAUGHT SELLING OR BUYING WILL BE SEEN AS CRIMINAL FOR BREAKING LAW.
IN CONCLUSION , I LARGELY AGREE THAT SMOKING SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A SERIOUS THREAT TO THE SOCIETY . YOUTH SHOULD BE SAVED FROM THAT AS WELL AS OTHER CITIZENS SHOULD UNDERSTOOD ITS ADVERSE EFFECT ON HEALTH . GOVERNMENT MUST PUT SOME LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST IT FORNTHE BETTER TOMORROW.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you largely agree that smoking should be illegal, and you address both its health risks and the role of government. The discussion of young people taking up smoking and companies selling products cheaply gives relevant reasons, while your proposed restrictions show how the issue might be addressed. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. The claim that over 70 percent of the young generation smoke is not clearly contextualised, and the essay does not explore possible objections to prohibition or explain why criminalising consumers would be effective. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with clearer explanation and a specific, credible example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Its progression from the spread of smoking among young people to manufacturers and government responsibility is generally logical, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. The question “who is responsible for all such things?” interrupts the argument, and the shift from company practices to punishing both sellers and buyers needs a more explicit link. Several ideas are crowded into the second body paragraph. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each claim to its consequence so the argument develops more smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “addicted,” “strict laws,” “prohibited,” and “adverse effect,” and the reader can generally identify your main meaning. However, word choice, collocation and spelling errors are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to interpret. For example, “highest spread virus” does not accurately describe smoking, “unwanted serious health” is incomplete, and “look among the circle” is unclear. There are also misspellings such as “dieseases,” “genertaion” and “considerd.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and word forms; precise phrases such as “a major public-health risk” would make your argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “If they put certain strict laws … it will have the great impact.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “only particular age group were doing it,” “they chooses to smoke,” and “other citizens should understood its adverse effect.” The opening also contains an incomplete or awkwardly formed sentence: “This essay will give an clear image of how much I agree to this statement.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns, then proofread articles and verb forms. More reliable control of these structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
