Smoking can cause cancer and very dangerous for our body. Not only cigarettes is bad for health, there is lot of other drugs like, pod, vape, nicotin packets and many more.

Smoking is a thing that not affects rapidly, in starting smoking is not showing any effect to body. But after a time man surrounded by different diseases like, infections, throat problems and asthma.

I agree with that government should banned smoking or should be made illegal. Because many students or friends pressure there friends to do smoking. Some parents not pay attention to their children and then they addicted to smoking and any othe bad habit.

I experience a smoking case in my life. My cousin is a single child of his parents, and his parents love him very much. As he is a single child his parents do not forbid him from anything.

At once, my cousin make a friend in his tution and he is a good looking and nice person. But he is a smoker in his life. He is also got addiction to smoking by one of his friend.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear view that smoking should be made illegal, and you support it with health risks and a personal example about your cousin. This makes the response relevant to the question. However, the task is only partly addressed: most of the discussion describes addiction and illness, while the case for making smoking illegal is not explored in depth. For example, the cousin’s experience illustrates harm, but you do not explain how a legal ban would prevent such cases or consider possible objections, such as personal choice or enforcement. Some claims, including that parents’ lack of attention leads to addiction, are asserted rather than explained. Develop the reasons behind your position and connect each example directly to the proposed law.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable sequence: it introduces smoking-related harm, states your position, and then gives a personal example. Paragraph breaks also help separate these stages. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several points repeat the idea that smoking causes disease without adding a new step to the argument. Connections between ideas are sometimes abrupt; for instance, the discussion moves from students pressuring friends to parents’ attention, then quickly into the cousin’s story. The narrative itself has a basic chronological order, but its relevance to the argument could be signposted more clearly. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s purpose and linking phrases to show cause, consequence, and how the example supports your view.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary such as “addicted,” “cancer,” “asthma,” and “illegal,” so the reader can follow the main subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “smoking,” “thing,” and “many.” Some choices are inaccurate or unclear, including “intoxications” for harmful substances or addictions, “lungs infection,” and “surrounded by different diseases.” There are also spelling and word-form problems such as “tution” and “nicotin packets,” which reduce precision. Build a more varied set of accurate expressions for health effects, addiction, and legislation, and check collocations before using them. This would make the argument clearer and less repetitive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer structures, including “Not only cigarettes is bad for health” and the sentence beginning “Because many students or friends pressure…,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction: “Many young boys addicted,” “Smoking is a thing that cause,” and “His parents was very worry” are examples. Tense shifts also make the cousin’s story difficult to follow, as in “he got addicted and he is smoking everyday.” Some sentences are fragments, such as the opening “Because” sentence, and punctuation around lists is not always controlled. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “although,” checking subject–verb agreement and consistent past tense.
