This line graph illustrates the number of first time visitors and returning visitors who visited Caryl Island from 2000 to 2008.
Overall, both types of visitors increased over the period, but returning visitors were always higher than first-time visitors after 2001. Returning visitors reached its peak in year of 2006.

First-time visitors shows a different pattern. It decresed from 8,000 in 2000 and 4,000 in 2002. After that, they increased about 6,000 in 2004, about 10,000 in 2006, and about 12,000 in 2008.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover the main trends and provide a clear overview: returning visitors rose to a peak in 2006 before falling, while first-time visitors recovered after their 2002 low. Most figures are accurately reported, and the comparison that the gap narrowed by 2008 is supported by the chart. However, the overview says both groups increased over the period, which is not fully accurate because returning visitors ended below their 2006 peak, and “always higher … after 2001” is imprecise given the chart’s two-year intervals. The final conclusion repeats the comparison rather than adding a key feature. This is a strong account of the main information, but greater precision in the overview and comparisons would make it more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by paragraphs describing each visitor group, with a concluding comparison. Time markers such as “In 2000,” “After 2000,” and “In 2008” help readers follow the sequence. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence “After 2000, returning visitors rate was becoming higher.its grow up…” has faulty punctuation and an abrupt transition, while “This was the only year…” refers back to the preceding figures but could be integrated more smoothly. The conclusion also repeats the overview. Use clearer sentence boundaries and link comparisons between the two series more directly to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “reached a peak,” “decreased,” “increased,” and “the gap became very small,” so the trends are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “visitors rate” is not a natural way to describe visitor numbers, “grow up” does not fit a numerical trend, and “gowibg,” “decresed,” and “conclution” are misspelled. Repetition of “about” and “visitors” also makes the description less varied. Aim for accurate trend verbs and phrases such as “the figure rose,” “the number declined,” and “the difference narrowed,” checking spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “but” and a time clause beginning “After that.” Most of the intended meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “returning visitors reached its peak” has a plural-subject agreement problem, and “first-time visitors rates was higher” has errors in both number and agreement. The sentence “After 2000, returning visitors rate was becoming higher.its grow up…” also has faulty sentence boundaries and verb forms. Use consistent past-tense forms for this completed period, and check subject–verb agreement and sentence punctuation. These corrections would make the otherwise understandable account more controlled.
