Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the graph, including the trends for both visitor types. However, the analysis is somewhat inconsistent. For instance, the description of the data in 2000 and 2002 contains inaccuracies regarding the figures and the interpretation of the trends. While the overview identifies the general movement of the lines, the lack of precision in reporting the data points (e.g., 'number was fall upto half') hinders the clarity of the report. To reach a higher band, ensure that data points are accurately transcribed and that comparisons are more clearly articulated throughout the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into an introduction, an overview, and a detail paragraph. While there is a logical progression, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'after it in 2002' or 'while after it'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the two visitor groups. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary flow to achieve a higher score. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for a higher band. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'thr', 'whoc', 'returing', 'slighltly', 'decresed', 'deatil', 'peolpe') and awkward phrasing such as 'return once' instead of 'returning visitors'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on repetitive structures to describe the trends. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for describing data trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'remained stable', and ensure careful proofreading to eliminate basic spelling mistakes that distract the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'their as gradually decrease', 'visitors where show high'), tense usage, and sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect spacing. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic agreement errors would be highly beneficial.
