Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided a clear overview of the data. You highlighted the key comparison between first-time and returning visitors effectively. However, some of the data reporting is slightly inaccurate or vague; for instance, stating that the number of first-time visitors 'fell two times' is unclear, and the description of the trends could be more precise by explicitly mentioning the start and end values for both categories. While you covered the main features, a more detailed comparison of the specific years where the lines intersect would have strengthened the response. Overall, the task is addressed well, but the precision of the data reporting needs improvement to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, an overview paragraph, and two body paragraphs focusing on the two categories. The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Overall,' 'Then,' and 'As regards,' to link your points. However, the transition between sentences within the body paragraphs can be a bit mechanical. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the referencing is clear throughout the text. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the structure supports the overall message of the report effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'converge,' 'surpassing,' and 'peaking.' However, there are some instances of awkward phrasing and minor inaccuracies, such as 'the majority length of the period' and 'its' number' (a grammatical error that also affects lexical precision). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points clearly, you rely on some repetitive structures and basic descriptors. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid word-choice errors that slightly detract from the professional tone of the report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'its' number' (possessive error), 'the six-year the period' (article/repetition error), and 'new visitors who travel' (tense inconsistency). While these errors are noticeable, they do not significantly impede communication. Your control over sentence structure is generally good, but you need to pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move toward a higher band score in this criterion.
