The line graph compares the amount of first time visitors and returning visitors of Caryl Island within the duration of 8 years since 2000.
Overall, there is a significant amount of increement in amount of people visiting and revisiting the island. However, with time frequent visitors outweigh the number of new guests.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the response. While you have identified the main trends, the description is incomplete as the response cuts off abruptly at the end. You have highlighted the initial figures and the shift in trends, but the lack of a complete overview and the failure to report the final data points mean the task is only partially addressed. To improve, ensure you provide a comprehensive summary that covers the entire period shown in the graph, including the final figures, to ensure all parts of the prompt are fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical attempt to sequence the information from the start of the period to the end. However, the abrupt ending disrupts the flow of the text. Cohesive devices such as 'Although', 'In contrast to', and 'After 2002' are used to link ideas, but the overall progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the final paragraph. To improve, ensure that your paragraphs are balanced and that you complete your sentences and thoughts fully to maintain a smooth logical flow throughout the entire report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have used some relevant vocabulary such as 'exponential rise', 'notable increase', and 'duration', which is appropriate for a data description task. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'increement' (spelling error) and 'amount of people' (should be 'number of people'). The repetition of 'amount' and 'comers' also limits the range of your vocabulary. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise quantifiers and varying your terminology to describe trends, such as using 'fluctuation' or 'upward trajectory' instead of repeating similar phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'there is a significant amount of increement in amount of people' (awkward phrasing and spelling) and 'in contrast to the later' (should be 'latter'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure in the final paragraph is incomplete. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that your sentences are complete and grammatically sound. Practicing the use of complex structures like 'while' or 'whereas' to contrast data will also help improve your range.
