Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the graph, including the trends for both visitor types. However, the overview is somewhat confusingly phrased, particularly the phrase 'while situation contrasted until the end'. While you have identified the key trends, the description of the data is occasionally imprecise, such as describing the decline in first-time visitors as a 'huge decline among whole chart' without clear context. To improve, ensure your overview clearly highlights the most significant trends (e.g., the crossover point) and use more precise language when describing the data points to ensure all parts of the task are fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Starting with', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore'. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, 'Totally conversing to the people' is unclear and does not effectively link the ideas. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes weak, making it difficult to follow the progression of the argument. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help create a smoother, more professional flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'plummeted', 'steady growth', and 'constant growth'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'visitors visited first time' (should be 'first-time visitors') and 'Totally conversing to' (likely meant 'in contrast to'). These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your vocabulary choices are natural and contextually appropriate for an academic report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'the visitors visited first time were higher' and 'trend was followed with similar pace'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and sentence fragments like 'Although, it fell slightly...'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely prevent understanding. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve your accuracy.
