The line graph shows the number of first time visitors and returning visitors who visited Caryl Island from 2000 to 2008.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The line graph illustrates the number of first time visitors and returning visitors to Caryl Island between 2000 and 2008.

Overall, the number of both first time and returning visitors to Caryl Island has increased considerably over the eight-years period. Trend for returning visitors started lowest but gained highest position as compared to first time visitors.

In 2000, almost 8000 first time visitors visited the Caryl Island, before falling to 4000 in 2002. However the trend followed the trend and archived the count of 6000 and 10000 in years 2004 and 2006 respectively. number of first time visitors reached its peak of 12000 in 2008.

On the other hand, returning visitors started from the count of 3000 in 2000 and rose substantially recording 10000 in 2002. Figures maintained same growth pace and recorded 12000 in 2006 and reached its peak of approximately 15000 in 2006 before falling to mere 13500 in 2008.
