The line graph shows the number of first time visitors and returning visitors who visited Caryl Island from 2000 to 2008.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The line graph below ilustrates the number of both first time and the returning visitors who visitd the Caryl island between year 2000 to 2008. Overall, there was increase in number of both visiotors over the period of the time. But returning visitors showed more significant increase then first time visitors.

At the start of the period the first time visitors started at the value greater then the returning visitors with 8000 and 3000 visitors respectively. However, the returning visitors showed the sharp increase with peaking at the value of about 15000 before declining at the end of the period with the number of just below 14000. In the case of first time visitors, the number dipped low by hitting the value of 4000 visitors before showing the significant increase in the number till the end of period with sky rockting at the value of 12,000 but still below than the number of returning visitors.
