Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word length requirement of 150 words, stopping abruptly after 114 words and leaving the task incomplete. Furthermore, the content attempts to outline some key features, such as mentioning the figures in 2002 and the general trends, but the data is severely inaccurate and misreported. For instance, the student states that returning visitors rose to 100,000 people and that the highest point was in 2026, which neither reflects the graph nor makes logical sense. Because the response is cut short, lacks proper development, and contains major data inaccuracies, it only minimally addresses the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs and use sequencing language like 'Firstly' and 'Lastly'. However, the overall progression breaks down quickly, and the essay trails off into an incomplete sentence ('Lastly,In 2006'). Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, and referencing is weak. Paragraphing is attempted, but the severe truncation prevents any logical development of a full overview or a cohesive body of comparison.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very limited and basic, and the response is heavily impacted by numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'illsutrates', 'vistiors', 'Overal', 'signficantly', 'subsuital', and 'dipicts'. While the student attempts some topic-specific vocabulary related to data trends, the high frequency of lexical slips and incorrect word forms impedes communication and reflects a restricted range of language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of basic structures with occasional attempts at complex sentences that turn out faulty. There are frequent errors in tense usage, prepositions, and punctuation, such as missing spaces after commas and erratic capitalization (e.g., 'Firstly, In 2002'). While some simple constructions are clear, the frequent grammatical errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band.
