Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the main movements and include relevant figures: first-time visits fall from 8,000 to 4,000 before rising to about 11,800, while returning visits climb to a peak of roughly 15,200 in 2006 and then decline. The overview identifies the broad relationship between the series, but “generally less” is not accurate for every year: returning visitors outnumber first-time visitors from 2002 onward, whereas first-time visitors lead in 2000. Some details are also unclear or imprecise, particularly “rose up to approximately 12000,” which does not identify the year or distinguish the two series. Give a sharper overview of the contrasting trends and report the key turning points precisely; avoid adding an unsupported explanation about visitors being more interested.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, separate paragraphs for each visitor group, and a concluding statement. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and markers such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “However” help signal progression. This already provides a coherent arrangement, but some linking is mechanical and the conclusion repeats the overview rather than adding useful synthesis. References such as “it” in “it can again rose up” are also unclear, and “After that” does not make the later figures especially precise. To strengthen progression, organise each series chronologically with clear year references, and use linking phrases to show contrast or change rather than simply announce the next paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “declined,” “increased,” “returning visitor,” and “approximately,” so the main trends can be understood. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “swiftly increased,” “rose up,” and “the visitor.” “Revisiting” is not a natural label for the returning-visitor series, while “intrested” is misspelled and introduces an unsupported interpretation. These choices make the description less precise and natural. Build a wider set of accurate trend collocations and use the chart’s categories consistently, for example “first-time visitors” and “returning visitors.” Prefer neutral descriptions of the data over claims about visitors’ motives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the reader can usually follow the intended comparisons. However, verb-form and agreement errors recur: “the number … is start from” should use a past-tense form, and “the visitor is generally increased” has an incorrect construction. The sentence “it can again rose up” combines a modal with the wrong verb form, while “it will be again declined reached” has an unclear tense and verb sequence. Singular and plural forms also need attention in phrases such as “first time visitor.” These errors sometimes make the timeline difficult to interpret. Practise describing completed past data consistently, using forms such as “stood at,” “fell to,” and “then rose to,” and check subject–verb agreement.
