Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify both visitor groups and describe the broad pattern: first-time visitors fall before rising, while returning visitors generally increase and then decline. However, the account is only partly accurate and developed. First-time visitors peak at about 11,800 in 2008, not “about 12000” as a major issue, but the returning series reaches its peak of about 15,200 in 2006; the response says it “stoped at 2006” and gives an unclear final figure of 13,000. It also incorrectly places 10,000 in 2000, when that value occurs in 2002. The overview that returning visitors were “higher over the years” is too vague to capture their rise and late fall. The response is 22 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail available. Add a clearer overview and accurate comparisons across the period.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic structure, moving from an introduction and overview to separate details for each visitor group. Phrases such as “Overall” and “Moving to returning visitors” help signal these stages. However, progression within the details is sometimes difficult to follow, especially in the returning-visitors sentence, where “since 2000 it climed to a hight nulber 10000 in2000, however it keep crowing” mixes dates and trends without a clear sequence. Some linking is mechanical, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Organise the figures chronologically and use one clear sentence for each major change—for example, the rise to the 2006 peak followed by the decline to 2008. This would make the relationships between the data easier to understand.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “visitors,” “dropped,” “rose,” and “decline,” so the main trends can generally be understood. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the description less clear. “The number fell then increase” is not expressed naturally, while “a hight nulber” and “the bigest number between the tow of it” are difficult to interpret. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “ghraph,” “beginig,” “climed,” and “crowing.” Aim for accurate, standard trend language and check spelling carefully. Terms such as “reached a peak” and “fell slightly” would describe the data more precisely than the current wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a contrast with “While the returning visitors higher over the years.” However, the range is limited, and complex attempts often contain errors that make the meaning harder to follow. For example, “the first time visitors who came one time at the beginig the number fell” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “it keep crowing” has an incorrect verb form. The overview also needs a verb: “the returning visitors higher” should be “the number of returning visitors was higher.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, particularly in “Overall,it” and “in2000.” Practise complete subject–verb structures and past-tense forms, then separate long ideas into clear sentences.
