Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You cover the main movements and provide a clear overview: first-time visitors fell to a low in 2002 before rising, while returning visitors climbed to a peak in 2006 and then declined. Most figures are accurately represented, including the starting values and the approximate peaks. However, the overview says first-time visitors were initially higher, but the phrase “In Begining” makes this comparison awkward, and the final comparison that returning visitors remained higher is not clearly tied to the end of the period. The account also says first-time visitors reached their maximum in 2008 without clearly contrasting this with the returning visitors’ higher peak. Make the key comparisons more explicit and precise to strengthen an otherwise well-selected summary.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for each visitor group. “Overall,” “Firstly,” and “Secondly” help signal the stages, and the trends are generally presented in chronological order. This gives the report a coherent overall arrangement. To make the progression more fluent, avoid relying on formulaic sequencing and connect related comparisons across the two series. For example, the first-time visitor paragraph could be linked to the returning visitors’ figures at the same dates. Some transitions are awkward or unclear, particularly “Admittedly” and the final “Eventhough” sentence, which reads as an incomplete thought. Clearer referencing and more natural links would improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing trends, including “steady downfall,” “growth,” “maximum,” and “slight decrease,” so the reader can follow the broad changes. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for a graph report: “downfall” suggests a serious collapse, “recovered” is less suitable than a neutral description of an increase, and “amount of people” is not the natural collocation. Spelling errors such as “vistors,” “visting,” “revisitors,” “comapred,” and “Eventhough” are noticeable and reduce precision. The range is sufficient to communicate the main trends, but more accurate collocations and careful spelling would make the description clearer and more appropriately academic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “While” and a time clause beginning “Then.” However, control is uneven, and several sentences contain errors or incomplete structures. “Overall, In Begining First time visitors was more” has problems with capitalization, articles, and subject–verb agreement. “It had 8000 visitors in the begining of the time period 2000” is also awkwardly constructed, while “Eventhough it had a higher amount…” is a dependent clause without a complete main clause. Use complete sentences, check singular and plural agreement, and form comparisons with clear grammatical structures. These corrections would make the trends easier to understand.
