Student answer (Band 5.5)
No, I disagree with this because in my opinion, zoos are the place where we can see a rare animals like Lions, Crocodile, Elephant etc. I really wants to see my favorite animal most of the time which I can't keep them in my home. My favorite animals are Markhor, Sheep, leopard. My house is too small to keep them. So, whenever I am free , I prefer to go zoo which is located near to office most of the time . My whole family like animals. My elder son cannot stay home on weekend. Whenever he have a free time for hangout , he always force me to go zoo. My wife likes animals too. We have many things to understand about the nature of dangerous animals like lions is very scary to me I can't go close to him in my life but in zoo we can go close to him and feel and see it's habits. I really enjoy alot to see him. Animal lover can't support to close the zoos without any main reason. I think so the zoos are only place where a man can see their favorite animals. We also can gain information and the study of favorite animal from the zoo
Animal. Many people have hobby to make a picture with animals. They can't do this without zoo because in zoo the animals are collected from different countries and forest around the world.we can feed them too. I don't wants this to closes of the zoos in my life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear disagreement with closing zoos. However, the development of ideas is limited and relies heavily on personal anecdotes rather than broader, academic arguments. The points made—such as the convenience of visiting a zoo near an office or taking pictures—are somewhat superficial and do not fully explore the educational or conservationist roles of zoos. To improve, you should focus on more objective arguments, such as the role of zoos in species preservation, scientific research, or public education, rather than personal preferences or family outings.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks a clear structure. It is written as a single block of text without paragraph breaks, which is a significant issue for IELTS Task 2. While there is a basic flow of ideas, the lack of paragraphing makes the progression of arguments difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and often repetitively (e.g., 'Whenever', 'I really'). To improve, you must organize your response into clear paragraphs: an introduction, body paragraphs for your main arguments, and a conclusion. Using a wider variety of linking words would also help improve the logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, often relying on simple structures like 'I like' or 'I want'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'make a picture' instead of 'take a photograph' and 'the study of favorite animal' which is grammatically unclear. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the range of vocabulary is limited and lacks the precision required for higher bands. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic or topic-specific terms related to wildlife and conservation would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'lions is very scary', 'he have a free time'), article usage (e.g., 'go zoo'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'Animal lover can't support to close the zoos'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To reach a higher band, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and practicing the use of complex sentences to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
