Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this world many people thinks that animals should not to put in zoos anymore and that all the zoos should be shut down . However i disagree because i believe that zoos are valuable things which protect our wildlife santuary and animals who does not feed by themselves.
There are plethora of reason for disagree attached with this notion . Primarily, injured animals get protection overthere and their is chance of increase in population though the zoos by breeding process if any wild animal get injured in jungle so there they did not have chance to be better because no one can live in jungle beside the animals if it was in cage so wild animal doctor visit their daily and take updates daily which can be benefit for them to recover fast moreover, it saves species whose natural habbitant are being distroyed by drforestation or climatic change
for example: many zoos have successfully breed animals such as pandas, tigers, helping to increase their population
In addition , children gets to know about the wildlife santuary they learn what actual wildlife is as they get chance to identify the all types species
which exist in the world likewise only scientist had also had a great benefit to research or do study on wild animals behaviour and diseases
to exemplify : school students had a trip to zoos to teach students about the biodiversity.
To Conclude, some zoos need better animals welfare standards closing all the zoos is not an option where well managed zoos plays an important role in education.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against closing zoos. The ideas provided, such as animal protection, breeding programs, and educational value, are relevant. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument about 'wildlife sanctuary' is repetitive, and the explanation of how zoos help with deforestation is underdeveloped. While the position is clear throughout, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. The conclusion is brief but reinforces the main stance. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning rather than listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'attached with this notion' and 'there they did not have chance' are awkward transitions that disrupt the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'there' and 'their' interchangeably. While there is an overall logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional misuse of punctuation (e.g., spacing before commas) make the cohesion feel somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking phrases would significantly enhance the readability.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'habbitant' (habitat), 'drforestation' (deforestation), and 'santuary' (sanctuary). The phrase 'valuable things' is quite vague. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'biodiversity' and 'breeding process', the frequent spelling errors and incorrect collocations (e.g., 'animals who does not feed by themselves') limit the score. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure you are spelling key terms correctly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many people thinks', 'children gets'), incorrect verb forms ('animals who does not feed'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
