Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that animal conservative parks should be banned because there is no longer need to have animals in it. In my opinion, I partially agree with this view because animals should be provided with their natural habitat rather than artificial or temporary one but parks are also needed for the endangered one.
First and foremost, there are clear reasons why zoo should be banned. Firstly, removing zoo and promoting in-situ conservation enhances the overall growth naturally. For example, keeping wild animals like tiger, lion in zoo will reduce their immunity and strength because their place is in the jungle where they hunt other animals and balance ecosystem. Consequently, this maintain ecosystem and natural habitat where they can foster better than in zoo.
However, I also believed that conservation parks are also required for rare and endangered species. The primary reason is that a park will provide protection and manage the process of reproduction of those species. To illustrate, In nepal vulture are rare and keeping this species in conservation area will help them to reproduce as the workers can take care of eggs from enemies. Furthermore, this will gradually increase the number of species which is in danger by proding them artificial habitat and protection form other species.
In conclusion, although there are minor arguements against this, I stongly believe that providing natural habitat for the animals will increase the will power of animals rather than keeping in zoo. But there's also need of zoos for the endangerded species.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a balanced position, acknowledging both the drawbacks of zoos and their potential role in conservation. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of in-situ conservation versus ex-situ protection for endangered species. However, the development is somewhat limited; the argument regarding the 'will power' of animals is vague and lacks depth. While the position is clear, the supporting examples, such as the mention of vultures in Nepal, are a good start but could be expanded to better illustrate the complexity of the issue. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of analysis remains at a mid-level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost', 'Consequently', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are repetitive or slightly mechanical. Referencing is generally clear, though there are instances where the flow between sentences feels a bit disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is logical enough to follow without difficulty, meeting the requirements for a band 6 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their opinions clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'in-situ conservation' and 'endangered species'. However, there are several word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'animal conservative parks' instead of 'wildlife conservation parks' and 'proding them' (likely a typo for 'providing'). The range is sufficient to convey the message, but the lack of precision and occasional spelling errors prevent a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'zoo should be banned', 'vulture are rare') and article usage errors (e.g., 'in zoo'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not generally impede communication. The student attempts complex sentences, but they often contain minor errors in punctuation or structure. To improve, the student should focus on consistent subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles with plural nouns.
