Student answer (Band 5.0)
However, I discord with this viewpoint because we don't anymore kept animals in zoos, therefore zoos should be shut down. Two main points from my viewpoint are protect animals and educate people.
One of the main point for my disapproval is protect animals and way of entertainment. This is due to fact that zoo's play significant role in animals life because nowadays, lot of animals are extincting with the cause of humans and weird diseases. Moreover, children like to visit in zoo's to gain their knowledge , while for generating great experience of life, whereas zoo is also a entertaining way for people. For instance, a survey is conducted by environment deparment has approved the positive outcomes for people and society. Therefore, kept animals for future generations with the help of zoo's.
Another main reason for my disapproval is educate people. This means that authority should promote zoo's for educating people and youngsters to preserve animals. In addition, people should conduct seminars to spread awareness about the positivity of zoo's , whereas zoo's are also income source for several zoo volunteers. If this trend of animals kept in zoo with their freedom boost up in society, while it generate positive results. As a result, zoo's are also a beneficial income source for unemployed people.
To conclude, it is clear from above mentioned point that zoo's play vital role in life of animals. Two main points from my viewpoint are protect animals and source of entertainment and educate people. These are two points.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against closing zoos. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention animal protection and education, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the reference to a 'survey' is vague and does not provide concrete evidence to support your claims. The ideas are somewhat under-developed, and the conclusion merely restates the introduction without adding insight. To improve, focus on providing more detailed explanations and specific, real-world examples to support your main points, ensuring that each paragraph contributes uniquely to your overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'In addition', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that makes the flow mechanical. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'survey' and the subsequent argument is weak. The conclusion is repetitive and does not effectively link the preceding points together. Improving the logical flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words more naturally would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'positive', and 'way'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'discord with this viewpoint' (disagree) and 'extincting' (becoming extinct). The misuse of apostrophes in 'zoo's' (plural vs. possessive) is a recurring error. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a broader range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and ensure that words are used in their correct context and form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb forms, such as 'we don't anymore kept' (we no longer keep) and 'animals kept in zoo' (animals kept in zoos). Sentence structures are generally simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'If this trend... boost up in society, while it generate positive results.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the unnecessary use of apostrophes in plural nouns. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of verb tenses to improve your accuracy.
