Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is said that some people believe that animals in zoos anymore but I completely disagree because some conservational program.

First and foremost, the main goal is the construction of zoos are different which are saving endangered species and helping them to breed but mostly prominent vets and biologists are recruiting in zoos and they also provide animals with special care and food because of their needs. Anyway for checking their environment pf living foods and their treatments and also analysis of the animals growth. Zoos are a popular educational place these are the special grounds for all species. In this place they can benefit from visiting different kind of animals and being familiar with wildlife closer too . It leads us to broadening their horizons and better communication with their environment.

On the other hand, some of the people claim that zoos are aace for spreading disease. They insist that animals live in the external layer . In addition, maintaining the balance of these animals gives us rise to insect gathering. Both of these results are more likely to increase infections from wild animal to human. Furthermore, introducing and maintaining coos can be money consuming for governments. Because these facilities need special staff and benefits for their lives. I believe it is not a valid idea , government can allocate these places to a private part and also organised it without interfering in the zoos management.

In conclusion, in my opinion we should keep zoos because we require them to save animals life which are extinct and different educational processes

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of keeping zoos. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention conservation and education, the arguments are often underdeveloped or lack logical flow, such as the confusing transition in the second paragraph regarding 'vets and biologists'. The counter-argument regarding disease and cost is introduced but not fully explored or refuted effectively, as the suggestion to privatize zoos is a leap that lacks supporting detail. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on one clear main idea supported by specific examples or logical reasoning rather than listing disjointed points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For example, the phrase 'Anyway for checking their environment' is an ineffective cohesive device that fails to link ideas logically. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'In this place they can benefit...', where it is ambiguous who 'they' refers to. While you use some linking words like 'First and foremost' and 'On the other hand', the internal structure of sentences often feels fragmented, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally limited and occasionally inaccurate, which hinders the precision of your argument. You use some relevant terms like 'endangered species' and 'conservation', but there are several instances of awkward word choice, such as 'money consuming' instead of 'costly' or 'expensive', and 'private part' instead of 'private sector'. Additionally, there are errors in collocation, such as 'recruiting in zoos' (should be 'recruited by zoos') and 'coos' (likely a typo for 'zoos'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the main goal is the construction of zoos are different'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage. For instance, 'animals in zoos anymore' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking proper structure or containing run-on clauses. While the meaning is generally discernible, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the writing from reaching a higher band score.
