Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is widely accepted the fact that animals is kept in captivity should be closed with awarness and different kinds of programmes . I totally agree with this view because theere are different kinds of animals who has been suffering throughout the cage with improper management.
Many parts of the world there are keeping the animals in the cage to entertainment the people also to raise the funding for themselves .With improper management and bad hospitality the animals are suffering more and more. They donot get favourable environment to live fully. Though there are some artificial environment but it is not enough for the animals to enjoy. For instance Nepal faced a serious loss regarding the animals that were kept in zoo were dying because of infavourable environment. Hence sometimes the lack of poor management can lead animals to show aggressiveness towards the visitors in the zoo.
Another important thing is that it will likely to disappear at future. If the mating is not being done or reproduce at their way in the nature then the offspring wont reproduce. Therefore, it will affect the environmental habitat much more. for instance, endangered species are getting slowly disappered because of the partner or many of animals kept on zoo. Therefore the species are likely to be endangered particularly.
To sum up, i believe keeping animals freely will be beneficial because we cannot get harm and they can live freely without being endangered.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of closing zoos. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear. The argument regarding endangered species and reproduction is confusingly expressed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logic. Furthermore, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which negatively impacts the depth of the argument. While the position is consistent, the supporting points lack the necessary detail and clarity to reach a higher band. To improve, you should focus on expanding your arguments with more coherent explanations and ensuring you meet the minimum word count requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Another important thing is that it will likely to disappear at future' is awkward and lacks clear connection to the previous paragraph. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'it' without a clear antecedent. While there is an attempt at logical progression, the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, which hinders the overall coherence of the piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'bad hospitality' (when referring to animal care) and 'infavourable environment'. The phrase 'animals is kept in captivity' shows a lack of control over basic word forms. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the reliance on simple, sometimes incorrectly used vocabulary, restricts the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to animal welfare and environmental science.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'animals is kept', 'animals who has been suffering') and sentence structure (e.g., 'it will likely to disappear at future'). The use of complex sentences is attempted, but these are often faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing or misplaced commas. The majority of the sentences contain errors, and the range of structures is limited. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement is essential for improvement.
